Okay I’m going to set the record straight here bc when I was looking to buy these, I was hesitant from all the overly dramatic reviews about them smelling like a rotting corpse and whatnot. Maybe I’m desensitized from changing my twin toddlers’ poopy diapers but it’s not even that serious guys. I live in a suburban area and I hung one right on my patio about 3 feet from the back door and the other on my tree in the front yard maybe about 6-7 feet from the front door. Yes, they have a little funky smell but it’s nothing like what the ppl in the reviews are describing. The flies are so bad this year bc we are near a bunch of farms and combined with the Texas heat, we needed something more than a flimsy fly stick and this is doing the trick. Within an hour there were 6 flies in the front one. We also put the CatchMaster fly strips inside the front window for the ones that slip in when we’re going on and out the front door, and it already has 12 flies on there. Please do not be turned off by the overly dramatic reviews about the smell. These things WORK!

I put one of these up a little over a week ago. We live in a somewhat rural area with farms nearby. My husband got a light trap for inside the house to rid us of all of the annoying pests inside, but just to help out I hung one of these outside around 8 feet from our door. Just over a week later the layer of flies is at least 2" deep. I have no idea how they are still drowning, but they are. The attractant stinks and sometimes, depending on the wind, I get a whiff. It's definitely not pleasant, but that's not enough to keep us from using it. Next time I think I'll hang it in a tree just to attract them all away from the house. I swear we must have attracted all of the flies in the neighborhood (not really). I would definitely recommend this to someone else battling flies.

I put these up at barn and didn't catch many flies ,but in my back yard I caught plenty. Thought it would be the other way around.

Well, this works. A little too well. We knew we had a fly problem (thanks to new neighbors that have questionable horse care practices) But, WOW did we REALLY have a fly problem. The first day, this caught a few flies, but what happened over the following week was simply unbelievable. The more flies that got stuck in it, the more flies it seemed to attract. By day 4 there were so many flies that the entire bag was BLACK. My husband walked up and took a look and said.."That's pure Hell in a bag right there." We just hung a new one. Let the exorcism commence.

Works better than I could dream. We have a dog run and quite a bit of dog poop for 3 big mutts. I read reviews and wanted to try this. Wow, 5 days in and the bag is almost full. Smells like death
