Man oh man....I think I tried just about everything until I found this! I had every kind of acne - surface, cystic, you name it. Really took a toll on my self confidence. I’m 28 and have had gnarly acne since I was 15. Wish someone told me about this sooner. It’s affordable and lasts me about three months a tube now since I use it every two days.

Better than the rest!Amazing product, there was a noticeable difference in my skin the first night after using this product. One week later, my skin is nearly entirely clear. I used almost every other acne treatment out there and this is the only product that has been effective for me.

At age 32, I started getting this super painful, cystic acne on my jawline and upper park of my neck--parts of my face/body I had never had acne before (as a teenager, I had the typical T-zone forehead, chin, etc. type pattern with generally mild comedones, but this was very, very different and also quite sudden). Turns out I should be in the books for being the patient with the "classic presentation" of jawline hormonal acne. Awesome. I looked into it a bit and learned that it is particularly difficult to treat (at least without addressing the hormonal issue), and, unfortunately, many of the retinoids might not work well to clear it up.Regardless, I decided to give this one a shot. I applied a small amount of this to only my jawline area every night. Sometimes I washed my face prior to application and sometimes I didn't (just your typical laziness). I definitely went through the whole "purge" things-got-way-worse-before-they-got-better phase (see day 14--yikes) but stuck with it, and I did start to see a gradual improvement. There was not a *marked* improvement, however, until probably week 6 or 7. Perhaps that was due to the overall difficulty in treating this type of acne, I'm not sure, but it did take a while. So if you are considering trying this and you have this ridiculously evil form of acne, know to be in it for at least several weeks/a couple months before things will get better!I do still get breakouts, but they are far less numerous and far less painful than they used to be. In addition, when I do get them, they tend to be smaller and last for a much shorter period of time, which is great. I really do think this product does a great job of combating inflammation and abnormal skin cell turnover time.Overall I am happy with how this process went. I mean, it worked! However, it DOES dry you right out. Applying a moisturizer before applying this spot treatment does indeed help prevent this sort of thing. The worst side effect I dealt with, though, was the itching and occasional redness accompanying said itching. I would sometimes get patches of redness and fairly severe itching on parts of my neck which was difficult for me to leave alone. Strangely, it did not make me itch consistently; there was an intermittent and seemingly random nature to it (unless it correlated to drying the skin?), but when it did make me itch, it was pretty intense! It's worth asking a dermatologist if it's effective and/or safe to use a calamine lotion or other anti-itch formula in conjunction with this product, especially if you have sensitive skin like I do.Worth noting: if you are only going to apply this to your jawline, you don't have to buy it as frequently. One tube lasts me probably 45 days instead of the advertised 30.
